French Open Dates Announced

The World Backgammon Association has announced the dates for the next step of the 2008 EBGT. The 6th French Open d´Enghien-les-Bains & 4th European Doubles Championships will be played from October 28th to November 2nd in Enghien-les-Bains (Paris), France.

So mark your calendar and get prepared for the hottest competition of the backgammon season. This major tournament will feature 50,000 €uro added cash, 4 Divisions of competition (Masters, Advanced, Intermediate, Amateur) and participation from the top players in the world, Giants, World & European Champions.

Along with a Ladies Tournament, there will also be Jackpots & Super-Jackpots and Doubles Consulting Pro/Am.

Other interesting activities on schedule are a Backgammon Seminar by Top Backgammon Giant, Matvey "Falafel" Natanzon, some Texas Hold´em Poker cash games available at the casino, over 35 trophy giveaways and gala dinner & show.

This tournament is part of the prestigious "European Backgammon Tour" (EBGT) - last year´s total payout was over 200,000 €uro and this year it the French Open winner a free seat at the next EBGT-stop.
