WBA Presents Georgian Backgammon Open

There are less than 10 days left to one of the biggest tournaments in the professional backgammon circuit. Presented by the World Backgammon Association (WBA), the "2nd Gogi Bukia Memorial Georgian open & 3rd Davis Doubles" will run from July 31 to August 5 at the Courtyard Marriott,Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.

The tournament will feature a 30,000 Euro added prizepool with the champion also going home with a free seat to the 6th French Open in Enghien-les-Bains (Paris, France) this October 2008. The Georgian Open is part of the prestigious "European Backgammon Tour - Season II" (EBGT) – the tour with an estimated total payout of 1,000,000 USD in prizes.

Aside from playing your favourite game, players will have a lot of other activities to look forward to in the beautiful country of Georgia including:
