The innovative, exciting, and fast-paced variation of Backgammon – Mindgammon - has been highly anticipated by backgammon enthusiasts the world over. Therefore, we are excited to announce that Mindgammon is expected to hit selected stores in October 2008.
Co-Founder of Mindgammon Inc. Christian Bailey says, "Just in the last three months, we have had dozens of inquiries from distributors of games in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia." Bailey also added that he and his team are in the process of investigating all the inquiries and decisions on whom to partner with will be made soon. The web site http://www.mindgammon.com , has been attracting global traffic at a furious pace. Although a majority of the visitors have been from North America and Europe, there have also been visits from people in the Mideast, Australia, India and most of Southeast Asia. Mindgammon has also been the target of popular search engines. Google, Yahoo, and others show that thousands of curious and interested consumers have looked-up Mindgammon just in the last two months. "Dozens of emails have been received in the last few weeks, wondering when and where the game would be available." According to Bailey, "In the last few years of my involvement with the game industry, I have never seen anything like this, especially for a non-electronic game. The anticipation of the game, amongst backgammon enthusiasts and the novice, has been pleasantly shocking." Production plans for Mindgammon are currently being finalized. Although Mindgammon is a variant of Backgammon, the game is more user-friendly, especially for beginners. On the other hand, it is also a highly tactical game that challenges the players' intellect. The game will be produced in built-to-last, high quality beech wood, Polymer, and in chipboard (MDF) to offer a more competitive priced game board. The game boards will retail from USD29.95 to USD109.95.
